Hongkong Collection for Vero
The Hongkong collection is conceived as the Vero's inaugural outdoor furniture series, designed to suit both public and private spaces.
The collection's design draws inspiration from a period in 2019 when Johannes spent one semester as a guest lecturer at the Hong Kong Design Institute. During that time he noticed a characteristic motif found on the stainless steel doors of the city's towering apartment buildings. After tracking down the local manufacturer for these doors, a first prototype of the stacking stool was made from the same square 25x25mm profile.
Already back then when Johannes returned, we started refining the first set of drawings for tables, chairs and benches. In collaboration with Vero, we developed these pieces to their final state.
The Hongkong collection is crafted from high quality stainless steel that comes raw or powder coated that make the pieces durable for a long life. Made in Tuscany by skilled craftsmen.
